Joél Thika
Founder & CEO
After migrating from the Democratic Republic of Congo as a child, Joél faced an uphill battle to master language and communication. His transformational story of going from knowing zero words of English to being a qualified professional coach has taught him that no matter how we start, we can all change. We can all grow.
He began his journey as a speaking coach in 2016, as Vice President of the University of Nottingham’s Public Speaking Society, where he taught students how to become impactful communicators. Since then, he has led corporate workshops and coached professionals from companies like L.E.K Consulting, PwC, CIMA, S&P Global, HEC PARIS, CMS and others.
Joél is the Founder and CEO of the Young Professional Speaking Academy, a coaching business that helps motivated young professionals become exceptional communicators so they can achieve personal and career success.
Cameron Plunkett
Co-Founder
Cameron has over 5 years of public speaking experience behind him.
As a Sales Executive at a top information services firm in London, as well as through his previous roles within the firm, he has garnered success through communicating with confidence and clarity.
Cameron started public speaking back in his school days, where he gave a speech to ex-Prime Minister, Theresa May and hundreds of guests. Since then, he has striven to master his public speaking skills and techniques and is passionate about helping other young professionals do the same.
